It's been a long time but you're finally back from the war. Back to your old home town of Taba, sitting around a table together like you used to before you left.

Some things are just as you remember them. A lot of things have changed. You've changed. You've come back to Taba, but have you come home?

Tonight you gather around this table to try to figure that out. You'll share stories about the times before and the times after and think about your place in all this, because in the morning it will be time to make a decision.

A ship is departing at dawn to go Far Away. The specifics of where the ship is going aren't important beyond that maybe out there you can find something that you can't find here. If you ship out you will not likely return.

Tonight you will drink and talk and remember, and then in the morning you will decide.

The ship will leave to go Far Away.

Will you go, or will you stay?

Taba is a cooperative guided storytelling game, optimally intended for 3-5 players, likely to run about an hour or so.  The design uses story prompt cards and a bit of deck programming to build a narrative arc about veterans returning home, contemplating the choices and experiences that led them here, and figuring out what tomorrow looks like.

I know he doesn't ask, but it'd be nice if you gave watabou credit for his maps.
